Scientists – trying standup comedy?
Science Riot, presented by the Chicago Council on Science and Technology, will bring two science comedy storytelling shows to the city this spring. A lineup of real scientists will complete a crash course in comedy before presenting a short comedy talk about their expertise.
Chicago Council on Science and Technology (C2ST) has partnered with Science Riot, a nonprofit that operates in cities throughout the country, to bring a public science comedy show featuring ‘scientists’ in the broadest sense of the term. Past presenters have included an archaeologist, a registered dietician, robotics engineer, cartographer, and pilot, among other professions. Science Riot focuses on how to make their expertise relatable and interesting, and funny! Come show your support for local experts performing standup.
